TCEQ approves fines totaling $286,747

The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality today approved penalties totaling $206,679 against 20 regulated entities for violations of state environmental regulations.

Agreed orders were issued for the following enforcement categories: five air quality, one Edwards Aquifer, one industrial wastewater discharge, one municipal solid waste, two petroleum storage tank, five public water system, one water quality, and one municipal wastewater discharge.

Default orders were issued for the following enforcement categories: one municipal solid waste, one multimedia, and one petroleum storage tank.

In addition, on Feb. 26, the executive director approved a total of 41 penalties, totaling $80,368.
