TCEQ approves fines totaling $338,952

The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality today approved penalties totaling $272,492 against 23 regulated entities for violations of state environmental regulations.

Agreed orders were issued for the following enforcement categories: four air quality, one industrial hazardous waste, one industrial wastewater discharge, one multimedia, one municipal solid waste, one municipal wastewater discharge, one petroleum storage tank, eight public water system, and three water quality.

Default orders were issued for the following enforcement categories: one petroleum storage tank and one public water system.

In addition, on June 4 and 11, the executive director approved penalties totaling $66,460 against 19 entities.
