TCEQ Approves Fines Totaling $439,499

The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality today approved penalties totaling $277,448 against 22 regulated entities for violations of state environmental regulations.

Agreed orders were issued for the following enforcement categories: one air quality, two industrial hazardous waste, one industrial wastewater discharge, two multimedia, one municipal solid waste, three municipal wastewater discharge, five petroleum storage tank, four public water system, and one water quality.

Default orders were issued for the following enforcement categories: one landscape irrigator and one petroleum storage tank.

In addition, on May 22 and June 5, 2018, the executive director approved a total of 70 penalties, totaling $162,051.
