TCEQ approves fines totaling $442,786

The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality today approved penalties totaling $274,314 against 19 regulated entities for violations of state environmental regulations.

Agreed orders were issued for the following enforcement categories: four air quality, one Edwards Aquifer, two multimedia, one municipal wastewater discharge, three petroleum storage tank, two public water system.

Default orders were issued for the following enforcement categories: one landscape irrigator, one multimedia, one municipal solid waste, one municipal wastewater discharge, and two petroleum storage tank.

In addition, on March 5, 12, 19, and 26, the executive director approved a total of 78 penalties, totaling $168,472.
