The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality today approved penalties totaling $390,521 against 22 regulated entities for violations of state environmental regulations.
Agreed orders were issued for the following enforcement categories: four air quality, two Edwards Aquifer, one industrial wastewater discharge, one multi-media, one municipal solid waste, three municipal wastewater discharge, five petroleum storage tank, and two public water system.
A default order was issued in the following categories: one municipal solid waste and two petroleum storage tank.
In addition, on Nov. 27, Dec. 4, and Dec. 11, the executive director approved a total of 54 agreed orders, each $7,500 or less, totaling $59,233.
