TCEQ Approves Fines Totaling $457,075

The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality today approved penalties totaling $295,132 against 29 regulated entities for violations of state environmental regulations.

Agreed orders were issued for the following enforcement categories: eight petroleum storage tank, five air quality, one industrial wastewater discharge, two municipal wastewater discharge, seven public water system, two water quality, and one waste disposal well.

Default orders were issued for the following enforcement categories: one industrial hazardous waste, one public water system, one water quality, and one municipal solid waste.

In addition, on March 20 and 27, and April 3, the executive director approved a total of 63 penalties, totaling $161,943.
