TCEQ approves fines totaling $503,238

The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality today approved penalties totaling $455,115 against 47 regulated entities for violations of state environmental regulations.

Agreed orders were issued for the following enforcement categories: 13 air quality, two industrial wastewater discharge, one multimedia, one municipal solid waste, two municipal wastewater discharge, six petroleum storage tank, 15 public water system, five water quality, and one water rights.

One default order was issued for the petroleum storage tank enforcement category.

In addition, on Feb. 25 and March 3, the executive director approved penalties totaling $48,123 against 21 entities.
