TCEQ approves fines totaling $547,710

The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality today approved penalties totaling $425,432 against 18 regulated entities for violations of state environmental regulations.

Agreed orders were issued for the following enforcement categories: one Edwards Aquifer, one industrial hazardous waste, one multi-media, one municipal solid waste, six petroleum storage tank, one public water system, one industrial wastewater discharge, five municipal wastewater discharge and one water quality (stormwater).

No default orders were issued.

In addition, on Sept. 3 and Sept. 10, the executive director approved penalties totaling $122,278 against 53 entities.
