TCEQ Approves Fines Totaling $653,038

The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality today approved penalties totaling $542,093 against 29 regulated entities for violations of state environmental regulations.

Agreed orders were issued for the following enforcement categories: four air quality, two industrial hazardous waste, two industrial wastewater discharge, three multimedia, three municipal wastewater discharge, eight petroleum storage tank, four public water system, one water quality, and one water operator certification.

One default order was issued for the landscape irrigator enforcement category.

In addition, on April 10 and 24, 2018, the executive director approved a total of 57 penalties, totaling $110,945.
