TCEQ approves fines totaling $659,061

The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality today approved penalties totaling $506,512 against 51 regulated entities for violations of state environmental regulations.

Agreed orders were issued for the following enforcement categories: 13 air quality, two Edwards Aquifer, one industrial wastewater discharge, one multimedia, eight municipal wastewater discharge, five petroleum storage tank, 15 public water system, and one water quality.

Default orders were issued for the following enforcement categories: one multimedia, one municipal solid waste, one petroleum storage tank, and two public water system.

In addition, on April 9 and 23, the executive director approved a total of 61 penalties, totaling $152,549.
