TCEQ Approves Fines Totaling $724,212

The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality today approved penalties totaling $677,210 against 37 regulated entities for violations of state environmental regulations.

Agreed orders were issued for the following enforcement categories: four air quality, two industrial wastewater discharge, five multimedia, one municipal solid waste, five municipal wastewater discharge, seven petroleum storage tank, eight public water system, and three water quality. 

Default orders were issued for the following enforcement categories: one petroleum storage tank, and one public water system.

In addition, on July 31 and Aug. 7, 2018, the executive director approved a total of 33 penalties, totaling $47,002.
