TCEQ approves fines totaling $851,367

The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality today approved penalties totaling $560,874 against 46 regulated entities for violations of state environmental regulations.

Agreed orders were issued for the following enforcement categories: 10 air quality, one industrial hazardous waste, two multimedia, two municipal solid waste, seven municipal wastewater discharge, nine petroleum storage tank, 10 public water system, and four water quality.

A default order was issued for the public water system enforcement category.

In addition, on Dec. 3 and 17, 2019, the executive director approved penalties totaling $290,493 against 126 entities.
