Celebrating Black History Month: A Conversation with John Hall

Feb. 25, 2021 – Former TCEQ chairman John Hall has been a leader in the environmental field for over 40 years.

In celebration of Black History Month, TCEQ is highlighting Black Texans who have made an impact on the agency and the state of Texas as a whole. John Hall has been a leader in the environmental field for over 40 years. He served as the chair of the Texas Water Commission and TCEQ’s predecessor agency, Texas Natural Resource Conservation Commission. He made a lasting mark on TCEQ by implementing the Mickey Leland Environmental Internship Program. He continues to advocate for diversity and inclusion at all levels and works to advance the cause of environmental justice and conservation.
