ExxonMobil Baytown Fire

Air monitoring for the ExxonMobil fire in Baytown.

On behalf of TCEQ, the Texas Attorney General today, Aug. 5, filed a Petition and Application for Injunctive Relief Adobe Acrobat PDF Document in the District Court of Travis County against ExxonMobil for violations of the Texas Clean Air Act and the Texas Water Code at its Baytown Olefins Plant.

TCEQ dispatched emergency staff at approximately 11:30 a.m. on July 31, 2019, to the ExxonMobil fire in Baytown. TCEQ personnel conducted handheld air monitoring throughout that day. TCEQ also confirmed that ExxonMobil conducted handheld monitoring and did not report any concerns.
