Houston-Galveston Area Trash Bash
Once a year thousands of volunteers gather along the Texas waterways to do their part in cleaning up the environment by participating in the largest single day waterway clean-up in the state of Texas.
Background
The Texas Conservation Fund has sponsored, coordinated, and funded the River, Lakes, Bays 'N Bayous Trash Bash event for more than 19 years in support of regional solid waste and water quality goals.

Project Description
The Houston-Galveston region's annual clean-up takes place at about 17 sites. The project facilitates the continuation and expansion of waterway clean-up events, and includes education displays and training regarding nonpoint source pollution related to bacteria.
