Background
Since 2012, Geronimo Creek has not met state water quality standards for bacteria, and has had a concern for elevated nitrate. In 2012, the Geronimo and Alligator Creeks Watershed Protection Plan was developed to address these water quality issues.
Project Description
The Guadalupe-Blanco River Authority will do the following:
- Conduct bacteria source tracking
- Share monitoring results with stakeholders
- Hire a part-time environmental education site coordinator to expand education activities
