Good Neighbor Environmental Board

A member of the TCEQ's Border Affairs team serves on the Good Neighbor Environmental Board, a border-wide committee that advises the U.S. President and Congress.

Since 1997, a member of TCEQ Border Affairs has represented the State of Texas on the Good Neighbor Environmental Board (GNEB), an advisory board to the president and the Congress on U.S.-Mexico border environmental infrastructure. The GNEB is charged by federal law with producing an annual report. Exit TCEQ

The Border Affairs manager is the current Texas GNEB representative. He assists in preparing each year’s GNEB report, and most recently was responsible for producing the water chapter for the 13th Report, "A Blueprint for Action on the U.S.-Mexico Border."
