This volunteer group meets when necessary to give advice and direction about issues related to stormwater permits and requirements.

The TCEQ is in the process of renewing the 2013 Construction General Permit (CGP) (TXR150000) for construction activities, which will expire on March 5, 2018. Existing permittees will have an opportunity to ask questions and provide comments on the existing permit and renewal process. For information regarding the upcoming stakeholder meeting please see the Meetings topic below.
The new 2016 Multi-Sector General Permit (MSGP) for industrial facilities has been issued with an effective date of August 14, 2016. Existing permittees will have until November 14, 2016, to submit a notice of intent (NOI) or No Exposure Certification (NEC) form to renew their stormwater coverage, as applicable.

The SWSG is open to the public. Anyone who is interested in stormwater permitting may attend and participate in SWSG meetings. This group currently has representation from water associations, petroleum and chemical industry, agricultural industry, engineering firms, law firms, environmental organizations, consumer groups, and governmental entities.

During the meeting, we will discuss the renewal of the 2018 stormwater Construction General Permit (TXR150000). In addition, the TCEQ will respond to questions and comments from the public on the existing permit and renewal process.
