Renewal of Small MS4 General Permit, TXR040000
Based on input from previous stakeholder meetings, the TCEQ provided a revised draft general permit for stakeholder review and comment through September 8, 2011. TCEQ staff have reviewed the comments and made additional changes based on stakeholder input. The revised draft permit was sent to EPA November 15, 2011 for their review. The issuance of the small MS4 General Permit (GP) will not occur by the expiration date. On April 13, 2012, TCEQ published in the Texas Register the intent to issue the general permit in order to administratively continue permit coverage for all existing small MS4s. All existing small MS4s will need to continue to operate under the existing small MS4 GP requirements until the permit is renewed.
Participation in the SWSG
The SWSG is open to the public. Anyone who is interested in storm water permitting may attend and participate in SWSG meetings.
This group currently has representation from water associations, petroleum and chemical industry, agricultural industry, engineering firms, law firms, environmental organizations, consumer groups, and governmental entities.
