Stormwater Stakeholders Group (SWSG)

A group that advises the TCEQ about issues related to stormwater permits and requirements.

This volunteer group meets when necessary to give advice and direction about issues related to stormwater permits and requirements.

The TCEQ is in the process of renewing the 2013 Construction General Permit (CGP) (TXR150000) for construction activities, which will expire on March 5, 2018. Existing permittees will have an opportunity to ask questions and provide comments on the existing permit and renewal process. hot_tiny.gif Renewal of the Multi-Sector General Permit (MSGP), TXR050000

The new 2016 Multi-Sector General Permit (MSGP) for industrial facilities has been issued with an effective date of August 14, 2016. Existing permittees will have until November 14, 2016, to submit a notice of intent (NOI) or No Exposure Certification (NEC) form to renew their stormwater coverage, as applicable.

Participation in the SWSG

The SWSG is open to the public. Anyone who is interested in stormwater permitting may attend and participate in SWSG meetings. This group currently has representation from water associations, petroleum and chemical industry, agricultural industry, engineering firms, law firms, environmental organizations, consumer groups, and governmental entities.

During the meeting, we will discuss the renewal of the 2018 stormwater Construction General Permit (TXR150000). In addition, the TCEQ will respond to questions and comments from the public on the existing permit and renewal process.

If you would like to participate in the meeting via webcast, please e-mail outreach@tceq.texas.gov and include your name and the company you represent in the e-mail at the beginning of the meeting. You may also use this e-mail address to submit questions or comments before and during the meeting.
