Stormwater Stakeholders Group (SWSG)
This volunteer group meets when necessary to give advice and direction about issues related to stormwater permits and requirements.
The new 2016 Multi-Sector General Permit (MSGP) for industrial facilities has been issued with an effective date of August 14, 2016. Existing permittees will have until November 14, 2016, to submit a notice of intent (NOI) or No Exposure Certification (NEC) form to renew their stormwater coverage, as applicable.

The SWSG is open to the public. Anyone who is interested in stormwater permitting may attend and participate in SWSG meetings. This group currently has representation from water associations, petroleum and chemical industry, agricultural industry, engineering firms, law firms, environmental organizations, consumer groups, and governmental entities.
A stakeholder meeting was held in the TCEQ Agenda Room on January 8, 2015 from 1:30 – 3:00 pm to discuss the renewal of the 2016 stormwater Multi-Sector General Permit (TXR050000). During the meeting, TCEQ responded to questions and comments from the public on the existing permit and renewal process.
