Rio Grande Watermaster Advisory Committee
Created by the 75th Texas Legislature to make recommendations to the Executive Director regarding activities of benefit to the water right holders in the administration and distribution of water including review of the annual budget for the watermaster program.
About RGWAC
The RGWAC was established in January 1998 in accordance with the Texas Water Code Section (§)11.3261 which requires the RGWAC to:
- provide recommendations to the Executive Director regarding water administration and distribution activities that would benefit water right holders;
- review and provide recommendations to the Executive Director on the proposed annual budget of the watermaster operations; and
- perform other duties requested by the Executive Director with regard to the watermaster operations, or perform other duties requested by water right holders that the committee determines would benefit the administration of water rights.
