Disposition Requirements

Be sure you use the correct section of the form based on whether your grant is for replacement or repower activities.

Option 1: Complete the disposition yourself.

Option 2: Have your equipment destroyed by a third party and obtain an affidavit with a statement of facts related to the destruction.

Option 3: Send the old engine to be remanufactured and obtain documentation from the facility that they have received the old engine. If choosing this option, you can skip steps 3 and 4 below.

Option 4: Request approval for alternate disposition from us.

• Before destruction: You must take new color photos of both sides of the equipment and engine block before destroying it.
• After destruction: You are required to take specific color photos.

For grants to replace on-road vehicles, you must get a nonrepairable vehicle title. To do this, submit an Application for Salvage or Nonrepairable Vehicle Title to TxDMV. Select the “Nonrepairable Vehicle Title” option at the top of the form. We will not accept salvage vehicle titles.

Grantees must submit:

• Disposition Form
• Color photos before AND after destruction (not required for remanufactured engines)

If applicable:

• Nonrepairable vehicle title (on-road vehicles only)
• Affidavit with a statement of facts
• Documentation from a remanufacturing facility

Once your disposition has been approved by TCEQ, you are ready to submit a request for reimbursement.
