Subject:  Public Notification - Permit Amendments, Exemptions
          and Change of Location of Previously Permitted
          Facilities

It is the practice of the Permits New Source Review Program to
support the Regional Managers in all requests for public
notification regarding permit amendments, exemptions and
changes of location of previously permitted facilities.  In
the event the Regional Manager decides to require public
notification for these actions, the permit files must
incorporate this request and the reasons for the public
notice.  Please include this documentation in all requests for
public notification.  This may be done by use of request for
comment forms or interoffice memos.
