Subject:  Standard Exemption (SE) No. 37

A question has arisen as to the applicability of SE No. 37 to
brick kilns.  SE No. 37 is intended for small ceramic kilns
firing ceramic ware such as tile or pottery.  This exemption
is not intended for applicability to brick kilns.  Emissions
from brick kilns can consist of fluorides, sulfur compounds
and particulate matter in amounts that must be determined by
permit review.
