In addition to the immediate disposal facilities such as the landfill, pond, landfarm, incinerator, etc., all disposal, collection, or storage activities require other supporting facilities to allow or control access and to provide a means to avoid nuisance conditions or threats to ground and surface waters of the area. The facilities typically will include roads, fencing, litter control, spill control, etc.

Examples of potentially incompatible wastes, waste components, and materials, along with the harmful consequences which result from mixing materials in one group with materials in another group. The list is intended as a guide to owners or operators of treatment, storage, and disposal facilities, and to enforcement and permit granting officials, to indicate the need for special precautions when managing these potentially incompatible waste materials or components.

This technical guideline (TG-10) provides general recommendations addressing closure and PCC cost issues. There may be additional site specific issues that must be considered by applicants in order to comply with applicable TCEQ rules and federal regulations.

In accordance with 30 Texas Administrative Code (30 TAC) Chapter 352, Coal Combustion Residuals Waste Management, the TCEQ prepared this Technical Guideline No. 32 (TG-32) to assist electric utilities and independent power producers with the groundwater monitoring and corrective action used for the management and disposal of CCR waste in at landfill(s) and surface impoundment(s).

In accordance with 30 Texas Administrative Code (TAC) Chapter 352, Coal Combustion Residuals Waste Management, the TCEQ prepared this Technical Guideline No. 30 (TG-30) to assist electric utilities and independent power producers with the management and disposal of CCR waste in landfill(s).
