Agency Studies (AS)

When a natural disaster or industrial accident (also referred to as events) occurs, the possibility of an upset increases, which may lead to excess emissions from a facility. Industrial events may result in the uncontrollable release of emissions, while for natural events, facilities may shut down in advance of the storm to mitigate possible damage to the facility, to minimize the release of contaminants, and to enable workers to stay safe during the storm.
