TCEQ Business Continuity Planning

The Continuity of Operations (COOP) Plan is designed to enable the TCEQ to provide for continued operations of critical functions to meet its obligations to our customers after a significant disruption of business occurs.

The TCEQ is committed to providing a consistently high level of service to the citizens of Texas. Certain events beyond the control of our agency could impact our ability to meet this goal. These events, or significant business disruptions, may include temporary inability to access facilities due to storms or local or regional power outages; natural disasters such as fire, flood, or hurricane; or intentional malicious attacks on facilities, systems, or personnel.

In accordance with the 80th Texas Legislature, Senate Bill (SB) 908, and Texas Administrative Code (TAC) 202.24, the TCEQ maintains a COOP Plan to address the impact of potential significant business disruptions. The COOP Plan has been reasonably designed to enable the TCEQ to provide for continued operations of critical functions to meet its obligations to our customers.
