Grant Estimator for Marine Equipment

Estimate your potential grant amount under the Emissions Reduction Incentive Grants (ERIG) Program and discover how competitive your grant application might be.

Instructions

Use this estimator to determine the cost per ton and emissions reductions for the equipment you would like to replace. For certain fields, you will need to use the Marine Technical Supplement for the ERIG Program. See the example below to calculate these values if replacing multiple pieces of equipment.

This tool provides estimates based solely on the information you submit. We compute the final values for your engines that meet the eligibility criteria for ERIG.

Should you have a replacement scenario that this estimator does not address, please email terp@tceq.texas.gov.

Example for Multiple Engines

You have three, 2002 diesel engines and are requesting $30,000, $35,000 and $45,000 to replace them with cleaner diesel equivalents. This will reduce the NOx emissions by 1.9041 tons per engine. Divide your total requested grant amount of $110,000 by your total NOx emissions reductions of 5.7123 tons. This results in a cost per ton of $19,256.69.

More Information on Eligibility and Cost Per Ton

Refer to section 2.0 of the Request for Grant Applications (RFGA) for details about eligibility criteria.

See the Marine Technical Supplement for details about how we calculate emissions reductions and cost per ton, or to complete the calculations yourself.
