The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality has developed a comprehensive, cooperative effort to serve border residents. The TCEQ oversees its own stand-alone activities and also works with local, state, and federal stakeholders to maximize efforts aimed at improving the environment of the U.S.-Mexico border region.
