Financial Assurance for Low-Level Radioactive Waste - Near-Surface Land Disposal

Financial assurance requirements and contact information pertaining to the near-surface land disposal of low-level radioactive waste.

Owners or operators (relating to Licensing Requirements for Near-Surface Land Disposal of Low-Level Radioactive Waste) may be required to provide financial assurance for closure, dismantlement, decontamination, decommissioning, reclamation, disposal, groundwater restoration, stabilization, monitoring, post closure observation and maintenance, corrective action and third party liability coverage. Rules regarding the financial assurance are found in Title 30, Texas Administrative Code (30 TAC), Chapter 37, Subchapter T.
