SIP Revision: Houston-Galveston-Brazoria, April 19, 2000

Revision to the State Implementation Plan for Houston-Galveston-Brazoria adopted on April 19, 2000.

On April 19, 2000, the TCEQ adopted a revision to the Texas State Implementation Plan (SIP). These revisions served as the required next step in the attainment demonstration planning process for the Beaumont–Port Arthur (BPA), Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW), and Houston-Galveston-Brazoria (HGB) ozone nonattainment areas. This page provides information on this revision to the SIP for the HGB area.


About the Revision

Adoption Date: 4/19/2000

Proposal Date: 12/16/1999

EPA Approval Date: November 14, 2001 (66 FR 57160 Exit the TCEQ). For more information, see the December 2000 HGB Attainment Demonstration.

Key Changes: This revision to the SIP includes the enforceable commitments required by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency–Natural Resources Defense Council settlement to make the Houston-Galveston-Brazoria attainment demonstration complete.
