Free Webinars for Managing Small Public Water Systems: Asset Management

June 2021 – TCEQ is hosting FREE webinars to help water system owners, operators, managers, utility board members, and elected officials understand the importance of asset management and maintaining the system.

Are you struggling to pay for water system maintenance? Are you concerned about having enough water for your customers? Are your rates sufficient to support your system now and for the next five years?

Asset management is difficult to communicate to rate payers and decision makers, but proper planning and maintenance can prevent costly system failures. Let us help you develop tools to get the point across – pay a little now or pay a lot more later!

In this 3-hour webinar, you will learn how to:

  • Conduct an inventory of your water system’s resources
  • Prioritize repairs and replacements of assets
  • Plan for future needs
  • Develop a budget
  • Evaluate your water source

Anyone interested in asset management concepts should attend, but small water systems with populations of 5,000 or less will benefit most.

Licensed water operators can receive 3 hours of Continuing Education Units for attending.
