TCEQ Occupational Licensing Exams are Going Paperless!

July 2022 - TCEQ’s Occupational Licensing section has been revising and converting licensing exams from paper to computer-based testing (CBT).

We are pleased to announce that all TCEQ-administered exams are now available at approved CBT centers. Starting Sept. 1, 2022 we will no longer offer paper exam sessions except for Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) requests.

The following exams will not be offered through CBT because the Texas Engineering Extension Service administers them:

On-Site Sewage Facilities (OSSF) Site Evaluator
Landscape Irrigator

Training - Continuing Education (CE) Credit
Not all listed training is approved for TCEQ Occupational Licensing Continuing Education (CE) credit. Please contact the training provider, EPA or EPA subcontractor offering the training to verify if the course(s) can be used toward CE credits for renewing a TCEQ occupational license.
