Temporary Waivers for Certain TPDES Electronic Reporting Requirements

December 2023—You may need to continue to submit Texas Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (TPDES) reports in paper format—under a temporary waiver—because the electronic reporting tools are not yet available for the following federal reporting requirements:

  • Unauthorized Discharges and Unanticipated Bypasses Reports
  • Pretreatment Annual Program Reports
  • Concentrated Animal Feeding Operation (CAFO) Annual Program Reports
  • Phase I Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System (MS4) Annual Reports

If this impacts your TPDES permit, you should have received a letter establishing your temporary eReporting waiver for the applicable requirement above. Keep the letter as part of your records and continue to submit the relevant reports in paper format until Dec. 21, 2025.
