Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System Renewal DFW Workshop and Webinar
TCEQ is hosting a FREE in person workshop in Fort Worth and a webinar for Municipal Separate Storm Sewer (MS4) owners and operators to explain MS4 renewal permit requirements and how to renew your authorization.
The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) renewed the Small MS4 General Permit (TXR040000) on August 15, 2024. This general permit authorizes stormwater discharges from small MS4s located within an urban area with a population of at least 50,000 people into surface water in the state. Existing permittees and newly regulated small MS4s will have a 180-day period to renew or apply for their authorization. The renewal period ends on February 11, 2025.
During the workshop and webinar, TCEQ staff will discuss the renewal permit, the Stormwater Management Program (SWMP) template, and how to comply with the permit. You can ask TCEQ Stormwater Permitting staff questions during the events. We will post a recording of the webinar after the event is completed.
