Adoptions are rules that have been adopted by the commissioners and republished as final in the Texas Register. They usually become effective 20 days after the TCEQ files them with the Texas Register for publication.
Adoptions will remain on this page for 30 days after the effective date.

2025-008-353-OW | Leaking Water Wells Grant Program House Bill 4256, 88th Texas Legislature, Regular Session, 2023 amended the Texas Water Code, Chapter 28, Subchapter E to require the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality to establish and administer a Leaking Water Wells Grant Program. This rulemaking will create a new Title 30, Texas Administrative Code, Chapter 353, to provide grants to permanently plug qualifying wells in certain counties, establish grant and project eligibility requirements, establish criteria for prioritizing projects eligible to receive grant funding, and establish criteria for well plugging. |
