Eagle Ford Shale

The Eagle Ford Shale is a hydrocarbon-producing geological formation that encompasses approximately 26 counties, and stretches from the Mexican border between Laredo and Eagle Pass, up through counties east of Temple and Waco. The Eagle Ford Shale geological area crosses five different TCEQ Regions: Region 9 (Waco), Region 11 (Austin), Region 13 (San Antonio), Region 14 (Corpus Christi), and Region 16 (Laredo).
