Recreational Survey Report TCEQ has completed a report of its Recreational Use Attainability Analysis for this water body.
Public Review of Recreational-Survey Report The comment period for the draft report concluded on January, 2015. After the comment period on the draft report closed, TCEQ used the comments to make an informed recommendation for the recreational-use category and criteria to include in the Texas Surface Water Quality Standards.
TCEQ Recommendations TCEQ recommended that the contact recreational use on Aransas Creek be revised to secondary contact recreation 1. TCEQ held a second comment period for this recommendation that ended February, 2016. The change was included in the 2018 Texas Surface Water Quality Standards.
Final Outcome EPA approved the recreation use change for Aransas Creek.
