Concho River Watermaster Advisory Committee

The CRWAC advises the watermaster program on water administration and distribution, complaints and enforcement, and the annual budget. The CRWAC also provides assistance as requested by the watermaster program or water right holders.

About CRWAC

The Concho River Watermaster Program was created by the 79th Texas Legislature under House Bill 2815. Section 11.557 of the Texas Water Code requires TCEQ to appoint a Watermaster Advisory Committee for the program.

State law requires the CRWAC to:

  1. provide recommendations to the watermaster and deputy watermaster on the administration and distribution of water in such a way that would benefit water right holders;
  2. advise the watermaster and deputy watermaster on complaints and enforcement matters;
  3. provide input on the annual budget of the Concho River Watermaster Program by reviewing the draft budget proposed by the watermaster, holding a public hearing on the proposed budget, and making recommendations to the TCEQ; and
  4. provide assistance as requested by the watermaster, deputy watermaster, or water-right holders.
