Access Records from our Central File Room

TCEQ’s Central File Room manages many agency records. The Central File Room Online provides access to public records that can be downloaded without submitting a Public Information Request.

Many records in the Central File Room can be accessed through the Central File Room Online. For best results, and to ensure a thorough search, please see the How to Search TCEQ Records Online guide when searching the Central File Room Online.

If you wish to submit a Public Information Request under the Texas Public Information Act, or if your request is for records that are not available through the Central File Room Online, please go out to our Make a Public Information Request page.

Hours of operation: The Central File Room Central Viewing Area is open during the hours of 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

If you would like to view records in our Central File Room Central Viewing Area, please email for an appointment. In your email, please include the records you would like to review. Records which contain confidential information will require you Make a Public Information Request. Once your Public Information Request is submitted, please do not submit a second records request through the Central File Room. Double requests may cause confusion, and subsequently, a delay in receiving your records.
