Newly Updated Underground Storage Tank Registration Form TCEQ-00724
October 2025—The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) recently updated the Underground Storage Tank Registration and Self-Certification Form (TCEQ-00724). Starting on Nov. 1, 2025, TCEQ-00724 forms with revision dates prior to 08/2025 (noted at the bottom of the forms) will no longer be accepted.
Renewals must be submitted each year by the first day of the month in which the delivery certificate is set to expire. TCEQ does not expedite forms for expired registration; they are processed in the order that they are received.
Submissions with incomplete or inaccurate information will not be processed. TCEQ will request that you submit another complete and accurate form ( TCEQ-00724) or use STEERS to submit your information. Delivery certificates will not be issued for an incomplete submittal.
State of Texas Environmental Electronic Reporting System (STEERS)
You can use TCEQ’s online permitting system, STEERS ePermits, to submit tank registration renewal, owner/operator updates, tank updates, or any other changes to your registration. STEERS has built-in error correction to minimize the chance of errors in your submission. The estimated processing time for online submissions is about seven business days. The estimated processing time for submissions using form TCEQ-00724 is about 20 business days.
Resources
Use the new Incoming Document Search Portal to see status updates on submissions sent via fax, email, or mail. This search will allow you to verify if TCEQ has received and processed a submission. Please allow one business day after faxing or emailing and five days after mailing before checking the status of a submission.
The Texas Open Data Portal Delivery Certificates Search provides certificate expiration dates and other basic information for facilities with active delivery certificates. The data may also be exported for queries.
