2008 Texas Water Quality Inventory and 303(d) List

Reporting on the assessed quality of Texas' surface waters, completed in 2008. This information is sometimes referred to as the 305(b) report and the 303(d) list, or as the Integrated Report.

This report describes and summarizes the status of the state’s surface waters, including concerns for public health, fitness for use by aquatic species and other wildlife, and specific pollutants and their possible sources. The report is required by Sections 305(b) and 303(d) of the federal Clean Water Act.

303(d) List of Impaired Waters

The  2008 Texas 303(d) List was submitted to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency on April 1, 2008 and approved by the EPA July 9, 2008, with the exception of Corpus Christi Bay. The EPA has added Corpus Christi Bay to the 303(d) List for bacteria.
