The comment period for the draft reports ended in 2022. The comment period for the final reports ended September 2023. TCEQ uses the public's comments to make informed recommendations for the recreational-use category and criteria to include in the Texas Surface Water Quality Standards. |

The draft Recreational Use Recommendations for Big Cypress Creek (0405A) and Lilly Creek (0409A) public comment period ended November 23, 2025. TCEQ recommended the use for Big Cypress Creek (0405A) to change to Primary Contact Recreation 2. This use change will be included in the next TSWQS revision. TCEQ will retain Primary Contact Recreation 1 for Lilly Creek (0409A). |
