Public Hearing on Proposed Revisions to 30 Texas Administrative Code Chapters 115 and 117 and to the State Implementation Plan for the Houston-Galveston-Brazoria Area

The commission is offering the public hearing to receive comments on proposed rulemakings and state implementation plan revisions that would affect the Houston-Galveston-Brazoria ozone nonattainment area.

The commission will offer a public hearing on the following proposals:

  • Proposed Houston-Galveston-Brazoria (HGB) Severe Area Attainment Demonstration SIP Revision for the 2008 Eight-Hour Ozone NAAQS (Project No. 2023-110-SIP-NR)
  • Proposed Dallas-Fort Worth and HGB Severe Areas Reasonable Further Progress SIP Revision for the 2008 Eight-Hour Ozone NAAQS (Project No. 2023-108-SIP-NR)
  • Proposed revisions to 30 Texas Administrative Code Chapter 115, Control of Air Pollution from Volatile Organic Compounds (Rule Project No. 2023-116-115-AI)
  • Proposed revisions to 30 Texas Administrative Code Chapter 117, Control of Air Pollution from Nitrogen Compounds (Rule Project No. 2023-117-117-AI)

The hearing is structured for the receipt of oral comments by interested persons. Individuals may present oral statements when called upon in order of registration. Open discussion will not be permitted during the hearing; however, commission staff will be available to discuss the proposals 30 minutes prior to the hearing.

The hearing will be conducted in English, and Spanish language interpretation services will be made available. Requests should be made as far in advance as possible.
