HOT Renewal of the Multi-Sector General Permit (MSGP), TXR050000
The TCEQ is in the process of renewing the TPDES Stormwater Multi-Sector General Permit, TXR050000, which expires on August 14, 2021. The TCEQ published notice of the proposed 2021 MSGP in the Texas Register and in several newspapers across the state. The proposed general permit and fact sheet
are now available for review as part of the 30-day public comment period.
You may submit public comments about this general permit in writing or orally at the virtual public meeting to be held by the TCEQ as noted below. The purpose of a public meeting is to provide the opportunity to submit comments or to ask questions about the proposed general permit. A public meeting is not a contested case hearing.
Written public comments must be submitted by January 14, 2021 at 5PM CDT.

Participation in the SWSG
The SWSG is open to the public. Anyone who is interested in stormwater permitting may attend and participate in SWSG meetings.The SWSG currently has representation from water associations, river authorities, academic institutions of higher learning, petroleum and chemical industry, electrical utility industry, agricultural industry, consulting firms, law firms, engineering firms, consumer groups, environmental organizations, public and private treatment plant operators and managers, municipalities, industries, government entities, and individual citizens.

The Water Quality Division will post notices in advance regarding future meetings. The next meeting has not yet been scheduled. The time, place, and agenda will be posted here when available.
