Stormwater Stakeholders Group (SWSG)

Meeting schedule, agenda, summary of past meetings, and related information for this voluntary group that meets to discuss issues related to stormwater permits and requirements.

UPDATE Renewal of the Small (Phase II) Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System (MS4) General Permit, TXR040000

The TCEQ is in the process of renewing the 2013 TPDES general permit for small MS4s, TXR040000, which expires on December 13, 2018. The proposed general permit and fact sheet are now available for review during the 30-day public comment period. On August 24, 2018, the TCEQ published the public notice in the Texas Register and several newspapers around the state. The public comment period ends at 5:00 p.m. on September 24, 2018.

You may submit public comments about this general permit in writing or orally at the public meeting held by the TCEQ. The purpose of a public meeting is to provide the opportunity to submit comments or to ask questions about the proposed general permit. A public meeting is not a contested case hearing.

NOTE: Public comments can be submitted in writing to the Chief Clerk’s Office at: http://www14.tceq.texas.gov/epic/eComment/ or mail to Office of the Chief Clerk, MS 105, TCEQ, P.O. BOX 13087, Austin, Texas 78711-3087. Please include in the subject line, “Phase II MS4 2018 Renewal”.

Participation in the SWSG

The SWSG is open to the public. Anyone who is interested in stormwater permitting may attend and participate in SWSG meetings. This group currently has representation from water associations, petroleum and chemical industry, agricultural industry, engineering firms, law firms, environmental organizations, consumer groups, and governmental entities.
