Requirement to Submit an MSW Annual Report

Operators of permitted or registered MSW facilities are required by 30 TAC Chapter 330, Subchapter P or Chapter 326, Subchapter G (for medical waste facilities) to report to the TCEQ the types and amounts of waste processed or disposed, and remaining disposal capacity.

Reports are based on the Texas state fiscal year, which runs from September 1 through August 31, and are due by November 10 following the end of the fiscal year.

The TCEQ analyzes the data provided in these reports and publishes an annual summary report titled Municipal Solid Waste in Texas: A Year in Review (TCEQ publication AS-187). Please visit our MSW Annual Summary web page for links to summary reports for past fiscal years.

As the time for submitting annual reports for a fiscal year nears, operators of MSW facilities will receive an announcement, and information on how to submit will be provided on this web page.
