Industrial and Hazardous Waste Fees Stakeholder Group

The Industrial and Hazardous Waste Fees Stakeholder Group was formed to receive input on IHW fees under Title 30 of the Texas Administrative Code, Chapter 335, Industrial Solid Waste and Municipal Hazardous Waste.

About the IHW Fees Stakeholder Group

The Office of Waste is seeking input on the IHW fees below. These fees support TCEQ’s IHW program, including permitting, compliance, and enforcement activities.

  • Generation Fee (30 TAC 335.323 ) – annual fee charged on the amount of hazardous and industrial Class 1 waste generated by an entity.
  • Facility Fee (30 TAC 335.324 ) – annual fee charged to facilities with an active hazardous waste permit or industrial solid waste permit. Fee is based on the types and size of active units.
  • Management Fee (30 TAC 335.325 ) – monthly fee charged for the amount of hazardous or industrial Class 1 waste managed at a facility. Fee is based on the type of waste and method of disposition.
  • Application Fee (30 TAC 305.53(2) ) – fee paid for the submission, review, and notice of hazardous waste and industrial solid waste permit applications for new permits, major amendments, renewals, and modifications.

The IHW Fees Stakeholder Group is open to the public and anyone who wishes to join may attend the meetings in person or virtually. To receive notifications of upcoming meetings:
