Pretreatment Stakeholder Group (PSG)
A voluntary open-participation group that offers input to the TCEQ on developing and implementing regulations for pretreatment of industrial wastewater discharged into a domestic wastewater collection system or directly to a publicly owned wastewater treatment plant.

The public or anyone interested in pretreatment rules and regulations may attend and participate in the stakeholder meetings. The PSG is made up of representatives from cities, utilities, and other entities interested in pretreatment issues. It includes representation from water associations, river authorities, academic institutions of higher learning, petroleum and chemical industry, electrical utility industry, agricultural industry, consulting firms, law firms, engineering firms, consumer groups, environmental organizations, public and private treatment plant operators and managers, municipalities, industries, government entities, and individual citizens.
