The public comment period for the draft report closed July 19, 2023. The comment period for the final report ended January 2024. TCEQ uses the public's comments to make informed recommendations for the recreational-use category and criteria to include as an update to the Texas Surface Water Quality Standards. |

The draft Recreational Use Recommendation public comment period closed December 2024. TCEQ recommended the use for Black Cypress Creek to change to secondary contact recreation 1. This use change will be included in the next TSWQS revision. |
| Final Outcome | TCEQ is awaiting EPA approval of recreation use changes. TCEQ will publish final outcomes when completed. |
