Registering to Apply Water Treatment Residuals to Land
Requirements for the land application of water treatment residuals. Links to forms and instructions.
You must register with TCEQ before you apply water treatment plant residuals to land in Texas. Before registering, please examine any county or local ordinances on this activity.
To apply for this registration, complete the following forms:
- Application for a Registration to Land Apply or Dispose of Water Treatment Plant Residuals (TCEQ-00552)

Submit the completed forms to the address shown in the instructions section of the application (TCEQ-00552).
You are not required to provide public notice for a water treatment plant residual registration.
Reporting
You can find the required annual report form on the last page of the issued registration.
- If your registration is for land application of water treatment plant residuals, you must complete and submit the annual land application summary report.
- If your registration is to dispose of water treatment plant residuals via dedicated land disposal you must complete and submit the annual disposal summary report.
