Arenosa Creek
This is a project to reduce bacteria and protect recreational safety in Arenosa Creek. The stakeholders and TCEQ developed a total maximum daily load (TMDL) and implementation plan (I-Plan), which together provide the road map for improving water quality in the creek. The TMDL is adopted and the I-Plan is approved.
Oyster Creek: Bacteria
This is a project to reduce bacteria and protect recreational safety in Oyster Creek. The stakeholders and TCEQ developed a total maximum daily load (TMDL) and are currently developing an implementation plan (I-Plan), which together will be the road map for improving water quality.

Sandy and Wolf Creeks

Tributaries of the Neches River Below Lake Palestine
This is a project to reduce bacteria and protect recreational safety in watersheds in the Lufkin area. The stakeholders and TCEQ adopted total maximum daily loads (TMDL) and approved an implementation plan (I-Plan), which together will be the road map for improving water quality.
Big Creek
This is a project to reduce bacteria and protect recreational safety in Big Creek. The stakeholders and the TCEQ developed a total maximum daily load (TMDL) and are currently developing an implementation plan (I-Plan), which together will be the road map for improving water quality.
Cotton Bayou Tidal
This is a project to reduce bacteria and protect recreational safety in Cotton Bayou Tidal. The stakeholders and TCEQ are developing a total maximum daily load (TMDL) and implementation plan (I-Plan), which together will be the road map for improving water quality.
Halls and Willow Bayous
Information about a project to protect recreational uses in Halls Bayou and Willow Bayou by developing total maximum daily loads (TMDLs) for indicator bacteria and an implementation plan (I-Plan) with measures needed to reduce bacteria.
Mustang Bayou

Oyster Creek Stakeholder Meeting
This meeting will discuss water quality issues affecting communities in the Oyster Creek watershed south of Sugar Land, including Angleton, Arcola, Bailey’s Prairie, Bonney, Clute, Holiday Lakes, Iowa Colony, Juliff, Lake Jackson, Missouri City (Sienna Plantation), Richwood, Rosharon, and Sandy Point. Pollutants, specifically fecal bacteria, in this waterway may impact public health, local economies, and the natural environment. Residents and organizations are invited to participate in this and future meetings to provide input that will be used to review the current bacteria reduction plan and to consider the next steps needed to put the plan into action.

The purpose of the meeting is to discuss water quality issues that potentially affect communities in the watershed, including all or portions of the cities and towns of Wharton, Bay City, Boling-Iago, Pledger, Lane City, Old Ocean, Van Vleck, Cedar Lane, Hawkinsville, and Sargent. Residents and organizations are invited to participate in this meeting to review and discuss progress implementing the bacteria reduction plan.
